50plus.com is a website devoted to the special interests of those who have reached middle age and would like to browse through articles that pertain to their needs and desires. It consists of articles by known authors under the topics of Health, Lifestyle, Money, Travel, Relationships, Employment, and Driving. Libby Znaimer and Elizabeth Rogers submit work under the title “The Zoomer Report” on topics relating to health and relationships. The latest included an article about the need for proper rest and another concerned with maintaining a successful marriage. Gordon Pape submits articles relating to money as does Dale Goldhawk. There is little here that is new or profound. Rather, it is the web version of a newsletter that one can peruse if one finds a topic of particular interest. The advantage of this site is that it is interactive in that one can present feedback to an existing story or submit an article of their own.

Because people now live longer and are in better health, there is often something one can find here that will be of interest. The employment heading contained an article by Cynthia Ross Cravit about telecommunicating and another about etiquette when travelling to foreign countries on business. Another on the advantages of Paycations by Ms. Rogers. For those who do not know, a paycation is working through your holiday on another job or even your own.

Beyond these main heading are restaurant reviews and news about events happening across Canada. One can be critical of the fact that this site has more advertising than is normally found. On the other hand, one is able to read well written articles by known authors. This is the type of site that is of interest to advertisers who wish to target a particular group known for their spending habits and the fact that they are often wealthier than most Canadians. Thus, there is an incentive to provide current and interesting articles so that these people will revisit often.

with your colleagues or Groups.
