Remanufactured Cartridges, Quality & Price Satisfaction!
There is a general perception that there is not much difference between refilled cartridges and remanufactured cartridges. Actually, there is a big difference. A refilled cartridge has been drilled out and new toner placed inside. Since the drum and other parts are not being replaced this may lead to overlooked problems. Unfortunately, this lack of distinction has unfairly tarnished the remanufacturing industry.
During the remanufacture process the cartridge is opened to empty the remaining toner, cleaned to remove any residue, and where necessary, replace gears, drum blades and any other parts. Once the cartridge has been remanufactured, it is tested to ensure a quality print is achieved.
Interestingly, most of the large manufacturers have recycling programs that allow them to re-use parts.
Q: Will using remanufactured cartridges void the printer manufacturer’s warranty?
A: No. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act prohibits the printer manufacture from voiding the warranty due to the use of a refilled or remanufactured cartridge. Printer manufacturers will almost always advise you against remanufactured items as it would reduce their market share. Even without the protection of this law, you should also feel confident that cartridges sold, refilled or remanufactured will meet or exceed your expectations. Our own warranty also extends to your printer on any valid claim! Customer satisfaction of remanufactured cartridges is so high that the remanufactured market share is growing rapidly.
Q: Is there a recommended way to store a toner cartridge.
A: Until you’re ready to install the cartridge in your printer, the cartridge should be left in the box and packaging supplied, and stored in a cool, dark place. Store the cartridge flat. Under no circumstances should the cartridge be stored on it’s end.
Q: What is a refill kit?
A: Refill kits are a generic and watery ink that’s not specific to any particular printer model.
Q: What’s the difference between low-yield and high-yield cartridges?
A: High-yield cartridges usually contain as much as twice the ink or toner of a low-yield cartridge. Starter cartridges, those you receive when you buy a new printer, often contain less ink or toner than even a low-yield cartridge. Some printers will only accept either a high-yield or low-yield cartridge. Others will accept either. The documentation that came with your printer or the manufacturer’s website should be able to tell you exactly which cartridges can be used with your printer. If high-yield cartridges are an option, and you do a lot of printing, high-yield cartridges will last you longer and require fewer trips.
Q: How can you keep your prices so low?
A: Primarily by recycling cartridges. To be sure a cartridge is reusable; we clean and test all cartridges we receive before remanufacturing them. By not having to purchase the cores from the manufacturer, we can reduce cost and pass those saving along to you.
